Larsen & Toubro bags CP08 EV01 package of Chennai Metro Rail project

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said that it has bagged one more package in the Chennai Metro Rail Projects (CMRL Projects), which is Package C3 (CP08 EV01) of Phase-II.

The contract is in the range of INR 1,000 to 2,500 crores.

According to Larsen & Toubro, the scope of CP08 EV01 package includes the construction of an elevated viaduct of nearly 10km. This includes installation of an elevated ramp and 10 elevated metro stations at Nehru Nagar, Perungudi, Kandanchavadi, Mettukuppam, Thoraipakkam, Okkiyampet, PTC colony, Karapakkam, Sholinganallur, and Okkiyam Thoraipakkam.

Larsen & Toubro said that the elevated Metro Rail package has to be executed in 35 months.

The Indian engineering group is already working on four packages of CMRL Phase II of which one is underground, while the remaining three are elevated packages.

Previously, Larsen & Toubro executed Metro Rail Projects for Chennai Metro Rail in Phase I.
