Karnataka Minister for IT-BT, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Priyank Kharge, threw down the gauntlet to BJP leaders in Kalaburagi, urging them to substantiate their claims of corruption with concrete evidence instead of resorting to religious routes.
Responding to BJP’s allegations, Priyank Kharge remarked, “The public made their stance clear in the recent elections by choosing us over the BJP’s government. Our commitment lies in transparent governance.” He emphasized that if BJP had genuine grievances or accusations, they should come forward with evidence in court, just as his party had done in the past regarding cases such as the Ganga Kayana and PSI scams.
Priyank Kharge further pointed out that the legal framework is in place for a reason. “Rather than seeking answers from the divine, I urge the BJP to trust and approach our judicial system with their concerns,” he stated.
Highlighting his government’s commitment to transparency, Priyank Kharge said that they follow stringent procedures to ensure every bill undergoes meticulous review. He added, “We maintain absolute transparency in our operations. Patience and understanding are crucial in this process.”
