Karnataka Bank introduces KBL FASTag for automatic payment at toll plazas

Karnataka Bank has launched a pre-loaded payment instrument called KBL FASTag to enable seamless movement of vehicles at toll plazas in India.

The private sector bank launched the payment instrument in association with the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) and the FASTag processor Worldline.

KBL FASTag is expected to help users save time, fuel, as well as money during their transits through toll plazas. Customers can get their FASTag through online from Karnataka Bank’s website or by visiting their nearby branch.

The FASTag offered by Karnataka Bank can be digitally pre-loaded for the required amount and can be recharged online using credit card/debit card/net banking/IMPS etc. The applicable toll amount gets debited automatically via the sensors at toll plazas.

Mahabaleshwara MS — Managing Director and CEO of Karnataka Bank said: “Instant SMS alerts are also sent to the registered mobile number for the toll transactions, balance maintenance, etc.

“KBL FASTag can be used across all the toll plazas throughout the country which are registered in National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) program and in future its utility can also be enhanced to pay Parking fees, Fuel charges etc. I am sure that, KBL FASTag will meet the aspirations of our customers as well as the am sure that, will general public.”
