Kalyra leads aged care transformation with Boomi’s digital integration
Kalyra, a pioneer in aged care transformation with over 130 years of experience, is revolutionising its service delivery by integrating Boomi’s digital integration platform. The move is part of an ambitious effort to enhance client care delivery, improve workforce efficiency improvement, and prepare for the future of AI-driven healthcare innovation.
The integration was driven by the need to unify fragmented systems that had accumulated over Kalyra’s extensive history and recent expansion. According to Nicole Fishers, General Manager of Information and Digital Services at Kalyra, duplicate client data and inconsistencies across the organisation’s digital ecosystem were delaying client care delivery. By adopting Boomi’s Enterprise Platform, Kalyra has streamlined operations, creating a centralised data hub that improves both efficiency and accuracy.
Improving client experience through digital transformation
Boomi’s platform enables seamless communication between Kalyra’s critical systems, such as Elmo for human resources, AlayaCare for home care, iCare for residential services, and the My Kalyra app. The result has been the creation of a “golden record” of accurate, real-time data that supports Kalyra’s aged care transformation.
Through the My Kalyra app, families now have mobile access to real-time updates about care schedules, financial transparency, and on-demand adjustments. Fishers noted that this innovation not only enhances convenience for families but also empowers care workers by reducing time wasted on outdated or missing information. This advancement has fundamentally improved client care delivery while maintaining a focus on workforce efficiency improvement.
Boosting workforce efficiency with automation
Kalyra’s transformation extends beyond client services to workforce management. Prior to Boomi’s integration, onboarding new staff was hindered by disjointed manual processes and data duplication. With Boomi’s DataHub, the organisation has centralised resourcing data, accelerating the hiring process and reducing errors. This digital integration platform ensures that Kalyra’s workforce remains equipped to meet its commitment to high-quality, compassionate care.
The centralised approach also strengthens compliance efforts, as the centralised data hub supports Kalyra in meeting regulatory standards critical in the aged care sector.
Embracing AI and robotics for the future
Kalyra’s collaboration with Boomi sets the stage for future innovations, including the use of AI and robotics to automate routine residential care tasks. Fishers highlighted the potential of these technologies to free staff from administrative duties, allowing them to focus on meaningful interactions with residents.
David Irecki, Chief Technology Officer at Boomi for the Asia Pacific and Japan region, described the partnership as a means to support aged care transformation while enhancing operational efficiency.
As Kalyra continues to innovate, Boomi remains integral to creating a centralised data hub that drives the next phase of AI-driven healthcare innovation.
