John B. Sanfilippo acquires baked cheese snacking brand Just the Cheese

John B. Sanfilippo & Son, a US-based nut and dried fruit-based products processor, packager, marketer and distributor, has acquired the Just the Cheese brand business from Specialty Cheese Company for an undisclosed price.

The transaction was funded via the existing bank credit facility of John B. Sanfilippo & Son.

Just the Cheese is an American baked cheese snacking brand. It offers cheese snack bars and cheese crisps and mainly competes in the baked cheese snack segment.

Its products can be bought online and in a range of retail outlets in flavors such as Grilled Cheese and Aged Cheddar.

Jeffery T. Sanfilippo — John B. Sanfilippo & Son CEO said: “The acquisition of Just the Cheese, which currently will not have a significant impact on our financial results, will provide us a product that expands our portfolio into new snacking categories.
