Jio unveils new unlimited plans to propel India into a premier digital society
In a significant stride towards realizing India’s vision of becoming a leading digital society, Jio has introduced new unlimited plans that are set to redefine the telecommunications landscape. To be effective on the 3rd of July 2024, these plans underscore Jio’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality services at competitive prices, cementing its position as a leader in the industry.
Jio’s True 5G technology, known for the fastest-ever 5G rollout of its scale globally, now places India at the forefront of the 5G revolution. Remarkably, Jio operates 85% of India’s total 5G cells, which are part of the nation’s only Stand-Alone True 5G network. This network enhancement ensures that Jio subscribers enjoy truly unlimited 5G data without any extra charges, across its premier plans.
Despite the rapid advancement in mobile technology, approximately 250 million Indians still use feature phones, restricted to the 2G network. To address this digital divide, Jio continues to offer its 4G-enabled JioBharat/JioPhone, allowing users to access affordable digital services without needing to upgrade to more expensive devices.

- JioSafe: A quantum-secure communication application, available for Rs 199 per month, offering secure calling, messaging, and file transfers.

These apps are offered free for a year to Jio users—a package collectively valued at Rs 298 per month.
