Jindal Stainless breaks ground on stainless steel industrial park in Jajpur

Jindal Stainless has laid the foundation stone for a 271-acre industrial park in Jajpur through a virtual ceremony held in Bhubaneswar that was attended by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

The first-of-its-kind facility is expected to increase the production and demand of the metal in east , and support the objective of the Odisha government to propel the iron and steel industry to greater heights in the state.

Jindal Stainless said that the stainless steel industrial park is a natural extension of its Jajpur manufacturing facility. The stainless steel park will be built in a couple of phases over a period of six years and could potentially see an investment of over INR 1,500 crores.

The stainless steel industrial park in Jajpur is likely to develop a strong ecosystem for the stainless steel sector, and promote more than 100 downstream and ancillary manufacturers, said Jindal Stainless.

— Jindal Stainless Managing Director said: “We intend to make Odisha a name to reckon with in the global stainless steel industry. We want to achieve 360-degree integration in both production and business functions. On one hand, the Industrial Park will enable seamless flow from raw material to finished goods stage.

“On the other, it will empower all related stakeholders through assured procurement and sales, capacity development, employment generation, infrastructure modernization, socio-economic development, and industrial maturity – leading to overall economic growth.”
