In a significant business move, luxury vehicle manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is bolstering its long-standing partnership with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to fast-track its digital transformation. The expanded partnership aims to revamp, simplify, and effectively manage Jaguar Land Rover’s digital and IT infrastructure, aligning it with the company’s broader strategic transformation. The deal, worth a staggering £800 million over the next five years, promises not just technological advancement but also operational efficiencies that will ultimately lower JLR’s net expenditure and unlock free cash flow.

TCS’s depth of capabilities and deep understanding of our business will significantly speed up our digital transformation, facilitating a modern luxury experience for our clients.”

The comprehensive range of services TCS will offer includes Application Development & Maintenance, Enterprise Infrastructure Management, Cloud Migration, Cybersecurity, and Data Services. Anupam Singhal, Business Group Head – Manufacturing at Tata Consultancy Services, noted, “This is a truly bi-modal partnership where operational efficiencies will fund the new digital core, and our expertise will de-risk and speed up that transformation.”

This expansion of Jaguar Land Rover’s partnership with Tata Consultancy Services is part of the former’s larger Reimagine strategy, which focuses on developing world-class partnerships and optimizing benefits as part of the Tata Group. Jaguar Land Rover is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Motors Limited, which in turn is part of Tata Sons. The expanded partnership underscores both companies’ commitment to innovation and growth in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
