Jagan Lamps temporarily suspends plant operations due to oxygen shortage

Jagan Lamps has announced a temporary suspension of all its plant operations due to a shortage of oxygen across India amid the Covid-19 second wave.

The Indian automotive lighting manufacturer said that it uses oxygen in its manufacturing process of auto halogen bulbs. Owing to the shortage of the gas all over the country, Jagan Lamps said that all the available oxygen should be used for saving the lives of Covid-19 patients.

The automotive lighting manufacturer has temporarily suspended its operations from 16 May 2021 until further notice. However, maintenance activities will continue to be carried out in the plant, said Jagan Lamps.
