ITI Limited makes history with first-ever EVM order from West Bengal SEC

ITI Limited, India’s pioneering public sector undertaking in telecom manufacturing, has achieved a significant milestone by securing its inaugural order for Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) from the State Election Commission (SEC) of West Bengal. The order includes the supply of 500 sets of the indigenous Multi Post EVMs, following a successful demonstration held in Kolkata.

The Multi Post EVM, designed and developed by ITI Limited, aligns with the specifications set by the SEC and the Technical Evaluation Committee. This EVM model is versatile, suitable for local body elections at various levels such as Gram Panchayats, Municipalities, and Corporations, as well as for Lok Sabha and Assembly elections when used as a Single Post machine.
