The Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (AP-CID) is turning up the heat on Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu. It’s a relentless quest for justice as the AP-CID is zeroing in on the former chief minister for his alleged involvement in the murky dealings of the Amaravati Inner Ring Road construction. The noose is tightening, and the stakes couldn’t be higher!
In a move that has everyone on the edge of their seats, AP-CID has filed a bombshell petition in the ACB special court for the issue of a ‘Prisoner in Transit’ warrant against Naidu. Get your popcorn, because this legal drama is just getting started! The petition is all set to make headlines as it comes up for hearing on Tuesday.
The sensation doesn’t end there! The case has its roots in a complaint lodged by YSRC MLA of Mangalagiri, Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, back in 2022. Initial investigations by AP-CID reveal Naidu and the then municipal administration minister P. Narayana changed the alignment of the Inner Ring Road to benefit Lingamaneni Ramesh and others. How? By allegedly alienating nearly 500 acres of assigned lands! They’re not just accused under IPC Sections 120 B, 420, but also under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
If you thought this was juicy, wait until you hear this: Chandrababu Naidu allegedly secured a rent-free house belonging to Lingamaneni Ramesh at Undavalli. But that’s not all! Naidu’s family-owned company, Heritage Foods, also allegedly benefited by purchasing lands before the capital city Amaravati was even notified.
And don’t forget about then-minister Narayana! According to the investigative agency, he also allegedly benefited from a price hike in lands linked to firms associated with him.
It’s a tangled web of accusations and alleged corruption, and the AP-CID is ready to untangle it all. Will Chandrababu Naidu manage to slip away, or is this the end of the road for the former Chief Minister? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure—this is a political thriller you don’t want to miss!
