IOCL awards contract to Engineers India for Panipat Refinery expansion

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has given a contract to Engineers India Limited (EIL) pertaining to the $4.4 billion Panipat Refinery expansion project in Haryana.

Under the INR six billion worth contract, Engineers India Limited will be responsible for providing consultancy for overall project management and also EPCM services (phase 2) of the project.

The contract will have a duration of 40 months.

The Panipat Refinery will see its capacity expanded from 15 MMTPA to 25 MMTPA through the expansion project.

Recently, Engineers India Limited in consortium with Oil India Limited has been selected as the buyer of BPCL’s 61.65% stake in the Numaligarh Refinery.
