Infosys BPM to help gold miner Newmont in digital transformation

Infosys BPM has secured a five-year extension to its contract with gold mining giant Newmont for standardizing and digitizing delivery models across the latter’s mine sites.

Through the renewed contract, the business process management arm of Infosys will be responsible for bringing in operational excellence. For this, Infosys BPM will utilize automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and design thinking, for increasing the business value for Newmont.

Infosys BPM’s strong leadership commitment and clear understanding of our operations will enable significant productivity improvements, service levels improvements, and cost savings.”

With its analytics-driven platform-as-a-service offering, Infosys BPM is expected to offer an improved end-to-end digital service to the gold mining company.

Infosys BPM will employ DigiTran, a solution that applies advanced techniques such as knowledge management, simulation, and best-in-class processes.

DigiTran is said to facilitate remote transition of services and sets up a sound standard operating procedure (SOP) knowledge base to provide transparent and harmonized processes.

Besides, the business process management arm of Infosys, will enhance Newmont’s touchless invoice processing across their accounts payable processes. The company will also supply a Digital Command Center for real-time visibility into process health metrics and analytical models for identifying root causes, thereby boosting performance across the miner’s operations.
