ICICI Bank and Amazon Pay said that the former has surpassed the milestone of issuing two million Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit cards.
As a result, Amazon Pay ICICI Bank has become the fastest co-branded credit card to achieve the milestone in India, said ICICI Bank.
The Indian private sector bank had joined forces with Amazon Pay to introduce the Visa powered credit card in October 2018.

The Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card also boasts of being the fastest co-branded credit card in the country to go past the one million issuances milestone in October 2020. In the last nine months, the card has been issued to another one million customers, with more than 80% of new customers availing it fully digitally, without any physical interaction.
Among the benefits brought by the Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card are an unlimited reward program, instant card issuance for select customers within 60 seconds, direct crediting of reward points to the user’s balance in Amazon Pay, and the contactless payment feature.
Any registered customer of Amazon.in, including users who are not customers of ICICI Bank, can digitally apply for the card, from anywhere in India. ICICI Bank has been on-boarding new customers via a ‘Video KYC’ facility considering the pandemic situation.
