Hyatt Hotels Corporation in partnership with real estate investment firm McWhinney has opened Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin in Texas.

The 31-story lifestyle hotel, which is located on the corner of Congress Avenue and Eighth Street in Austin, marks the second Hyatt Centric property in Texas.

Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin features 246 guestrooms, which include five suites apart from housing the Luminaire restaurant and Las Bis bar.

The new lifestyle hotel in Austin offers Nespresso coffee makers, Drybar hair dryers, JBL Bluetooth speakers, and BeeKind bath amenities.

Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin includes four meeting and event spaces, apart from a 1,400 square-foot top floor presidential suite.

The pet friendly hotel offers a round-the-clock fitness center with Peloton bikes and modern equipment, including a punching bag.

Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin’s design and interiors were accomplished by Nelsen Partners and UCO Studio, respectively.

The Chicago-headquartered Hyatt Hotels had a portfolio of over 1,200 hotels and all-inclusive properties in 72 countries across six continents as of 30 September 2022.

The Colorado-based McWhinney acquired the Austin Proper hotel in September 2021.
