Hyatt Centric Mountain View opens in Silicon Valley

US hospitality company Hyatt Hotels has opened Hyatt Centric Mountain View, a 167-room boutique hotel in Silicon Valley, California near Google headquarters.

Located at 409 San Antonio Road in Mountain View’s Village at San Antonio Center, the new boutique hotel marks the first property of Hyatt Hotels in Silicon Valley, and its fourth in California.

Currently, Hyatt Centric brand has 29 properties in 11 countries, including Chile, France, India, Japan, Spain, and others.

Rich Higdon – general manager of Hyatt Centric Mountain View said: “We are pleased to bring the in-the-now spirit of the Hyatt Centric brand to Silicon Valley.

“The hotel is designed as a launch pad that encourages visitors to explore and experience the unique aspects of our dynamic city.”

Hyatt Hotels said that the boutique hotel has a tech-forward décor, which reflects the history of Silicon Valley as the birthplace of modern technology. A lounge by the bar has metal panels with an interactive QR code motif and also wall art made up of classic Atari games and other creative memorabilia. Guestroom walls are adorned with multi-media pieces made with computer components.

Hyatt Centric Mountain View was developed by OTO with project partners including architect CallisonRTKL, interior designer Studio HBA, and general contractor Lusardi Construction.

OTO is operating the new boutique hotel in Silicon Valley with a leadership team made up of general manager Rich Higdon, director of sales Keith Battaglia, and executive chef Bryan Showalter.

The 167 modern, streamlined rooms and suites of Hyatt Centric Mountain View feature hardwood floors, HD Smart TVs, custom open closets, and Drybar Buttercup blow-dryers among others. Hotel amenities at the new boutique hotel in Silicon Valley include a fitness center having LifeFitness machines, a round-the-clock business center and a second-level terrace having a firepit, heated pool, and life-size games.

The design-forward hotel provides full-service catering and meeting space, and is split into 11 distinct settings to cover everything from social gatherings to corporate functions. The Cloud Ballroom at Hyatt Centric Mountain has floor-to-ceiling glass walls that slide open for accessing al fresco seating.

The hotel’s restaurant and bar, called Fairchilds Public House, offers locally sourced California cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with a beverage program that has regional breweries and wineries.

The indoor and outdoor spaces of Hyatt Centric Mountain View feature a bar and lounge, veranda with fire pit, and a range of dining spaces. View On 2 provides cabana-style drinks and dishes on the terrace located on the second floor.
