Houlihan Lokey to acquire IT services advisor 7 Mile Advisors
Houlihan Lokey, a leading global investment bank, has inked a deal to acquire 7 Mile Advisors (7MA), an independent advisory firm known for its range of investment banking services within the IT services sector.
Signed on July 7, the acquisition is designed to bolster Houlihan Lokey’s industry expertise in IT services while expanding its geographic presence. Following regulatory approval, the transaction is slated for completion this quarter.
Founded in 2008, 7 Mile Advisors offers mergers and acquisitions, private capital raising, and valuation services to clients in IT services. The firm has successfully closed over 170 transactions for global clients since its establishment. Among its significant deals are Globant’s acquisition of Belatrix Software, EPAM Systems’ purchase of GGA Software Services, and Rockwell Automation’s acquisition of Kalypso.
In a move that bolsters Houlihan Lokey’s Business Services Group, about 30 financial professionals from 7 Mile Advisors, including five Managing Directors, will join the existing IT Services team. Furthermore, the acquisition will introduce an office in Charlotte, North Carolina, to Houlihan Lokey’s network.
