HG Infra Engineering (HGIEL) has been announced as the lowest bidder (L1 bidder) by NTPC for transportation of pond ash from the Ramagundam thermal power plant to the NHAI-PIU-Mancherial road construction project.
The transportation length for the pond ash is 42km, while the quantity is 26.41 lakh Cu.M, said the Rajasthan-based construction engineering company.
HG Infra Engineering, in a filing to BSE, stated: “In accordance with Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, we are pleased to inform you that the Company has been declared as L-1 bidder by NTPC Limited.”
According to HG Infra Engineering, the project has an estimated cost of INR 122.38 crores, while INR 94.95 crore is the bid price. The project has a duration of 15 months.
The Ramagundam thermal power plant, also called NTPC Ramagundam, is a 2.6GW coal-fired power station located in Ramagundam, Telangana.
On the other hand, NHAI-PIU-Mancherial road construction project involves the conversion of the 94.6km long Mancherial-Chandrapur State highway number 363 into National Highway. The INR 1,500 crore project kicked off around this time last year.
