Hero MotoCorp unveils plans to revive operations in Nigeria

Hero MotoCorp, an Indian manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has revealed plans to revive its operations in Nigeria.

In this connection, the Indian automobile company has also introduced a new motorcycle – The Hunter, developed particularly for the Nigerian market.

Hero MotoCorp said that the Kewalram Chanrai Group will be its exclusive distributor in Nigeria and will play a key role in the former’s growth plans in the country.

The Hunter motorbike is available across Nigeria, priced at Naira 2,67,000. It comes with a 12-month or 75,000km engine warranty.

“Our grand event in Ibadan, attended by the country’s top dealers, to launch the Hunter was a huge success. The initial feedback for the Hunter has been exciting. As our bikes travel across the entire country, they will definitely excite the customers. Our aim is to significantly increase our presence in the market this year.”

Hero MotoCorp also has plans to open 3S outlets across 20 Nigerian towns with a pan country footprint via dealers and parts distributors. Additionally, the Indian automobile manufacturer plans to have a network of more than 5,000 trained technicians across Nigeria for ensuring easy access to service and parts for all customers.
