Hero Motocorp sees 18% surge in October sales with strong festive season demand

Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, reported a remarkable 18% increase in sales for October 2024, reaching 679,091 units. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the company, driven by a surge in demand during the festive season. Hero MotoCorp sold 574,930 units during the same month in 2023, highlighting the strong momentum this year.

Festive season drives surge in sales

The uptick in sales was predominantly driven by strong consumer demand in both urban and rural markets, particularly in the 100cc and 125cc segments. The Grand Indian Festival of Trust (GIFT) campaign, launched under the theme “Shubh Muhurat Aaya, Hero Saath Laya,” provided numerous attractive offers, which contributed to the festive retail success. Notably, the company recorded its highest-ever sales on Dhanteras, achieving double-digit growth over the previous year.

Hero MotoCorp’s electric vehicle (EV) brand, VIDA, also showcased robust growth. October 2024 saw the highest monthly dispatches for VIDA, with 8,750 units sold. This growth trajectory is a promising sign for the company as it aims to establish itself as a leader in the burgeoning EV market.

These exclusive outlets cater to Hero MotoCorp, VIDA, and Harley-Davidson products under one roof, enhancing the customer experience by offering a diverse range of options.

The company aims to expand its premium dealership network to 100 outlets by March 2025, further strengthening its position in the premium motorcycle market.
