Hero MotoCorp Limited said that it has established nearly 300 charging points at 50 locations in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Jaipur for the charging of its VIDA-1 e-scooters.
According to the Indian automobile company, the charging network is spread across important locations in the three cities to ensure convenience for VIDA customers.
The fast charging network of VIDA is said to enable users in charging their scooter’s battery at the rate of 1.2kms/min. All the charging stations will have DC and AC charging sockets, said Hero MotoCorp.
By using the ‘My VIDA’ mobile App, customers can locate their nearest electric bike charging station, check its availability, reserve a charging slot, as well as navigate to the station from the App. The complete payment process will also be managed through the My VIDA app.
VIDA had opened experience centers in Bengaluru and Jaipur along with pop-up stores in Delhi-NCR, where interested buyers can test-ride the Vida V1 electric bike.
Dr Swadesh Srivastava — Hero MotoCorp Head of Emerging Mobility Business Unit (EMBU) said: “We have installed VIDA’s world-class EV charging infrastructure prior to the commencement of VIDA V1 deliveries in all three cities. In line with our brand promise of building a “Worry-free EV ecosystem”, we are ensuring that customers’ transition to EVs is smooth and hassle-free.
“The VIDA World is developed with sustainability at its heart and with a technology-first philosophy. We are confident that our customers’ experience of the VIDA ecosystem, including the product, services and charging infra will be of global standards.
