HCLTech partners with AWS to fuel global adoption of GenAI technologies
HCLTech, a global technology giant, has announced a strategic collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to speed up the adoption of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) within the company and across enterprises worldwide. This partnership aims to unlock the full potential of AWS’s comprehensive GenAI portfolio, featuring Amazon CodeWhisperer, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Titan, AWS Trainium, and AWS Inferentia.
Prabhakar Appana, Senior Vice President and Head of AWS Ecosystem Business Unit at HCLTech, emphasized the transformative power of GenAI. “By joining forces with AWS, we offer our clients cutting-edge GenAI capabilities to fast-track innovation and establish a resilient global AI economy,” he said. This collaboration reinforces HCLTech’s and AWS’s mutual commitment to explore industry-specific solutions by leveraging advancements in AI technology.

As a cornerstone of this collaboration, HCLTech plans to integrate Amazon CodeWhisperer with its team of over 50,000 engineers, cloud practitioners, and developers. This will facilitate the development of secure and responsible AI-driven applications, both internally and for its global clientele. Furthermore, HCLTech’s Advantage Cloud platform will also be integrated with Amazon CodeWhisperer. This enables automated rehosting, refactoring, and re-platforming processes, complete with a centralized dashboard to oversee and plan migrations.
