HCLTech opens new global delivery center in Rabat, Morocco
HCLTech, an Indian technology company, has made a significant stride in its nearshore strategy by announcing the inauguration of its Global Delivery Center (GDC) in Rabat, Morocco.
This marks the company’s first facility in Morocco, aimed at catering to the needs of global enterprises seeking digital, engineering, cloud, AI, and software transformation projects. With over 23,000 employees already working on thrilling digital transformation initiatives for some of the world’s major corporations, this new launch further bolsters HCLTech’s global network of nearshore locations.
The establishment of this GDC comes after the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between HCLTech and the Government of Morocco in 2022, showcasing the company’s commitment to investing in the country’s burgeoning technology sector. Given Morocco’s skilled talent pool and strategic geographic location, it emerges as an ideal nearshore destination for HCLTech.

The center’s inauguration was graced by Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Chairperson of HCLTech, and Dr Ghita Mezzour, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, among other dignitaries from the Moroccan government, industry, and academia.
As part of its investment in Morocco, HCLTech aims to nurture the local technology ecosystem by forging partnerships with local universities and institutions. The company seeks to equip young talent in STEM fields and provide them with early career pathways in the rapidly growing technology sector. Employees at HCLTech will also benefit from exposure to learning and growth opportunities, thanks to its diverse global workforce spread across 60 countries.
