HCL Technologies appoints Santhosh Jayaram as sustainability head

Indian IT services provider HCL Technologies (HCL) has appointed Santhosh Jayaram as the company’s global head of sustainability.

According to HCL Technologies, the appointment of Santhosh Jayaram will enable the company to refine and focus its current agenda and strategy in the key areas of environmental, social, and governance (ESG). Besides, it will be important in bolstering and scaling its present and future sustainability initiatives.

Santhosh Jayaram will also be responsible for facilitating sustainability integration into existing business practices and within the company’s value creation for stakeholders.

Prior to joining HCL Technologies, he steered the climate change and sustainability practices at KPMG and Det Norske Veritas. With over 20 years of experience in multiple facets of sustainability, including developing best standards and practices, Santhosh Jayaram will steer the execution and incorporation of the agenda into the corporate growth roadmap of HCL Technologies.

He will be responsible for leading the Indian IT services company in its efforts to expand in a sustainable fashion by focusing inward as well as outward, as innovative technological solutions will have an important role in fuelling sustainability initiatives.
