H.I.G’s Lipari Foods acquires Ohio-based food distributor Troyer

Lipari Foods acquisition of Troyer : Lipari Foods, a portfolio company of H.I.G. Capital, has wrapped up its acquisition of Ohio-based Troyer Cheese, Troyer Bros. Trucking and Amish Wedding Foods (collectively called Troyer).

Established in 1959, Troyer is a specialty food distributor, manufacturer, and processor based in Millersburg in Ohio.

The food company is mainly involved in the distribution, processing, and manufacturing of specialty food products such as deli, cheese, jar goods, confections, and others.

Troyer serves 2,400 grocery retail customers in 48 US states, providing them various brands like Troyer cheeses, meats, and deli products, Amish Wedding Foods’ jar goods, Backroad Country snacks and candy, and Edna Lucille lotions and soaps.

Lipari Foods acquisition of Troyer marks the second add-on acquisition completed by the former after its acquisition by H.I.G. Capital last month and is part of a larger merger and acquisition-oriented growth strategy.

The company supplies deli, bakery, dairy, specialty retail, seafood, confections, and organic food and beverage products to more than 13,000 retail locations in 14 US states.
