GrubMarket acquires produce and dairy provider Vaccaro & Sons
GrubMarket, a US food technology startup, has acquired Vaccaro & Sons, a produce and dairy provider in St. Louis, Missouri, for an undisclosed price.
Vaccaro & Sons caters to local grocery shops, country clubs, caterers, restaurants, schools, and eldercare facilities in St. Louis, where it is claimed to be the second biggest produce provider.
The company has been in business since 1982.
In January 2021, Vaccaro & Sons acquired Adolph & Ceresia Produce in a move to expedite its market expansion. Currently, the company’s infrastructure and fleet of delivery trucks supply to hundreds of customers in the St. Louis area.
GrubMarket said that the produce and dairy provider will continue to be run by its current leadership team of Dale Vaccaro, Dean Vaccaro, and Rick Massey.

By joining GrubMarket, Vaccaro & Sons can leverage the former’s WholesaleWare software suite, which is a Software-as-a-Service platform that offers financial management, online ordering and sales, inventory management, and CRM tools.
