Gravita Limited, a frontrunner in the industry with a global manufacturing presence, has officially announced a significant expansion in the capacity of its subsidiary, Gravita Tanzania Limited. This strategic enhancement escalates the unit’s capacity by 5,000 Metric Tonnes Per Annum (MTPA), elevating the total capacity to 12,000 MTPA. This expansion is a notable step towards achieving Gravita’s ambitious target of reaching a cumulative capacity of 4,25,000 MTPA by the fiscal year 2026.

The investment for this capacity expansion is estimated at approximately Rs 3.33 Crores, which has been financed through the internal accruals of the company. This financial strategy underscores Gravita’s commitment to sustainable growth and its confidence in the profitability and environmental benefits of recycling.

With this expansion, Gravita Group’s total recycling capacity has soared to 2,90,859 MTPA.
