Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE:H) has made public its collaboration with Hall Capital and Avion Hospitality as the Fordson Hotel, formerly known as 21c Museum Hotel Oklahoma City, officially joins the Hyatt portfolio today. The hotel, a blend of industrial revolution-inspired design, is now available for booking through Hyatt’s reservation channels and will be part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand in late 2023.
Located in the West Village District near Oklahoma City’s downtown, Fordson Hotel is housed in a building that was once the Ford Motor Company Assembly Plant. With a rich history dating back over a century, the building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It’s the only historical landmark in Oklahoma City tied to blue-collar industry, embracing Ford Motor Company’s rich legacy through authentic design and contemporary furnishings.
The hotel’s architecture is inspired by Fred Jones, a prominent local industrialist and civic leader, and one of the largest Ford dealers in the country during the 1950s. With 135 guestrooms and suites, the Fordson Hotel offers a welcoming ambiance with high ceilings, 14,000 square feet of meeting space, a large ballroom, a spa, and a fitness center.
Fordson Hotel showcases the steadfast spirit and rich history of Oklahoma City with a pool terrace and three on-property dining options: Mary Eddy’s Dining Room, Pool Bar, and Bodega. Each offers unique dining experiences, from American classics to laid-back social dining.
The address of Fordson Hotel is 900 West Main Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It is expected to join the World of Hyatt loyalty program when it transitions to The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand in late 2023, granting members the chance to earn points for various rewards.
David Tarr, senior vice president of development at Hyatt, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We’re excited to collaborate with Hall Capital and Avion Hospitality to offer travelers a sophisticated yet unscripted experience in Oklahoma City’s emerging West Village District. Hyatt continues to prioritize thoughtful growth in the markets most relevant to our loyal guests and World of Hyatt members, and this forthcoming addition to The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand will offer guests even more story-worthy experiences.”
