EQTEC partners with Tresca Energía for advanced biofuels solutions in Spain
EQTEC plc (AIM: EQT), a leader in waste-to-value solutions for new energy infrastructure, has announced a significant Collaboration Framework Agreement with Spain-based Tresca Energía S.A., an engineering and infrastructure development group. This partnership will focus on advanced biofuels solutions, particularly a project in Castilla y León, Spain, to convert biomass into renewable natural gas (RNG).
Pioneering Project in Castilla y León
The proposed facility in Castilla y León aims to process around 50,000 tonnes of biomass annually into RNG. Currently in its feasibility phase, the project has garnered interest from a leading Spanish bank for funding and has secured offtake terms from a major gas grid operator. This initiative represents a significant advancement in sustainable energy generation in Spain.
Joint Development and Synergy
The collaboration brings together EQTEC’s technology and engineering expertise with Tresca’s proficiency in renewable energy project development. Both parties are keen on projects that focus on RNG or methanol generation from syngas, leveraging EQTEC’s patented technology. This partnership aligns with the increasing need for professional project management in the syngas-based renewable energy sector.
