El Super expands presence in Los Angeles with new store opening in Bell Gardens

El Super, a prominent California-based supermarket chain known for its focus on Hispanic groceries, is set to enhance its presence in Los Angeles with a new store in Bell Gardens. Opening its doors on July 17 at 7102 Eastern Avenue, the new 41,000-square-foot location aims to provide exceptional value and a diverse product range tailored to the local community.

This latest addition marks the second El Super store launch this year, following a successful opening in San Ysidro, Calif. The Bell Gardens store will operate daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., offering a wide assortment of Latin American grocery products along with popular household favorites.

– Seafood Department: Boasts an impressive selection of fresh fish, shellfish, and specialty seafood items.

– Meat Department: Provides a full range of high-quality meats including beef, pork, and poultry, serviced by expert butchers ready to assist with custom requests.

– Deli and Cheese Counter: Stocks a variety of salsas, handcrafted ceviches, aguachiles, and a broad selection of meats and cheeses.

In line with its community-focused ethos, El Super will celebrate the store opening by donating $3,000 each to two local nonprofit organizations: Human Services Association and the Mexican-American Opportunity Foundation. These donations reflect El Super’s ongoing commitment to supporting valuable community services and initiatives.

The new store has created approximately 125 jobs, further contributing to local employment opportunities. With 67 stores across California, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona, and Texas, El Super continues to be a significant player in the grocery sector, under the broader umbrella of Chedraui USA, which includes Smart & Final and Fiesta Mart.
