EEW Eco Energy World, Grupo COBRA to develop major solar and BESS project in Queensland

In an ambitious move towards augmenting ‘s capabilities, EEW Eco Energy World, a renowned global developer of renewable energy projects, has forged a significant partnership with , a leader in industrial and energy services. This collaboration is set to bring to life a 200 MWdc solar photovoltaic (PV) farm coupled with a 50 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) project situated in , Australia. Targeted to achieve a ready-to-build status within 2024, this project is a key milestone in both companies’ commitments to enhancing sustainable energy production.

The project is poised to make a substantial impact on clean energy generation, with an anticipated annual output exceeding 400 GWh. This output is enough to supply electricity to around 72,500 households, significantly contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions by approximately 260,000 metric tons each year. Such a reduction is comparable to removing about 93,000 cars from the roads permanently, marking a significant step towards combating climate change and promoting environmental sustainability.
