DNA Payments acquires payment solutions provider CR7 Services
DNA Payments, a new payment technology company, has acquired CR7 Services, a UK-based payment solutions provider, for an undisclosed price.
Founded in 2014, CR7 Services has been offering sophisticated, secure and reliable payment acceptance solutions to UK retailers. The payment solutions provider is said to have deployed nearly 36,000 terminals within the UK market so far through its two operating companies – Optomany, a payment acceptance solution provider, and 123Send, a secure payment solutions provider.
Another company owned by CR7 Services is 123 Hire, a provider of short term payment terminal services.
While Optomany serves all types of retailers, 123Send and 123 Hire provide card payment solutions that target small and micro retailers.
Adrian Wilding – CEO of CR7 Services, commenting on DNA Payments acquisition of CR7 Services, said: “We are very excited by this acquisition. We are extremely proud with what we’ve achieved in just a few short years and we were ready for the next stage of accelerated growth.
“DNA brings with it the talents of its operating board, its experience in payments, and has confirmed its commitment to our independence of operation. We believe DNA Payments is the perfect choice to take CR7 Services Group to the next stage in our journey.”
DNA Payments acquisition of CR7 Services marks the first transaction for the former, which has been advised by Proskauer Rose and PwC.
