Krishna Bodanapu, Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Cyient Limited, expressed his enthusiasm about the new venture, stating, “We are happy to announce this strategic initiative that enhances our capabilities in Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) turnkey design and manufacturing.” The establishment of this subsidiary is timed to align with the global semiconductor market’s expected growth, projected to reach a trillion dollars by 2030. Additionally, the Indian Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) forecasts the industry’s expansion to USD 100 billion by the same year, positioning Cyient at the forefront of this growth curve.

Cyient’s new subsidiary will focus on turnkey ASIC design and chip sales through a fabless model, particularly specializing in analog mixed-signal chips. “Cyient’s credentials in the semiconductor electronics sector through Cyient DET and Cyient DLM have enabled us to set up this subsidiary to drive a dedicated focus on ASIC design and chip sales,” added Bodanapu. With over 600 intellectual properties (IPs) spanning various functions and technology nodes, along with longstanding engagements with key customers, Cyient is well-equipped to leverage its global capabilities for substantial growth.

The subsidiary aims to enhance the value Cyient delivers to its stakeholders by offering specialized, world-class ASIC design services and chip sales. Since its establishment in 1991, Cyient has been committed to delivering Intelligent Engineering solutions, supporting over 300 customers worldwide, including 40% of the top 100 global innovators.
