Convergint, a systems integration provider, has acquired Universal Security Systems (USS), a London-based security systems integrator, for an undisclosed price.
Universal Security Systems, which is said to have more than 30 years of industry experience, specializes as a security technology integrator by involving in designing, installing, and supporting converged security solutions. Its portfolio includes network-based security systems, intruder detection systems, and enterprise access control in various vertical markets such as financial, government, education, and data centers.

The acquisition will see approximately 100 colleagues of Universal Security Systems joining Convergint. The latter said that the transaction comes after various growth initiatives it had taken up in the European market, strengthening its global presence, deepening vertical market expertise, and positioning itself to cope up with the rising demand across several markets.
