Convenience store chain Dash In unveils new store in Charles County, Maryland

Dash In, a convenience store chain owned by the Wills Group, announced the launch of its latest outlet at 5105 Indian Head Highway, Indian Head, Maryland. This new 4,800 square-foot location is designed to redefine convenience shopping with its innovative store concept and community-focused services. Featuring the new Dash In brand and a “made for you” menu, the store offers specialty burgers, house-made chips, and freshly baked goods, all prepared on-site. Additionally, the location includes high-quality Dash In fuel and a state-of-the-art In-Bay Automatic Splash In ECO Car Wash, complete with air and vacuum services.

The Indian Head store is the second to implement Dash In’s reimagined convenience concept, which prioritizes an elevated customer experience and robust community engagement. The new design features a welcoming environment with natural wood exteriors, polished concrete floors, and an expansive layout that enhances the overall guest experience. Customers can enjoy the convenience of ordering through high-tech kiosks and the option of dining in a comfortable indoor seating area. The heart of the store is its open kitchen, where guests can watch as their food is prepared, ranging from griddle-pressed burgers to main course salads and freshly made breakfast items available all day.

Adding a personal touch, a dedicated Dash In concierge focuses solely on fulfilling customer needs, enhancing the personalized service that sets Dash In apart from traditional convenience stores.

During the store’s grand opening, Julian B. (Blackie) Wills, President and CEO of the Wills Group, highlighted the store’s role in community engagement. “Today’s opening allows us to realize our vision for convenience as well as tap into the transformative power of community engagement at the Wills Group and across all of our Dash In locations,” Wills stated. The event also featured celebrity chef Spike Mendelsohn, who showcased his original “Spike Burger” and discussed his partnership with Dash In to address food insecurity.

The new store will also work alongside the Oasis Fresh Food Market and LifeStyles of Maryland to develop a community garden, which will provide fresh produce to local residents and help eliminate the food desert status that Indian Head has faced for over two decades.
