Computex combines with American Virtual Cloud Technologies

Computex Technology Solutions, a portfolio company of private equity firm Navigation Capital Partners (NCP), has wrapped up its business combination with American Virtual Cloud Technologies (AVCT).

Focused on the work-from-home technology space, American Virtual Cloud Technologies is an integrated IT solutions and managed services provider. It was previously a publicly-traded special purpose acquisition company (SPAC).

The deal is the first for Navigation Capital Partners in a new focus on the use of SPACs as investment vehicles.

Computex, which is an IT solutions and managed services provider (MSP), will continue to function under its own name as a subsidiary of American Virtual Cloud Technologies. The company offers solutions for data centers, enterprise networking, cybersecurity, cloud computing, managed services, and unified communications.

Navigation Capital Partners also announced the formation of a SPAC operations group.

Larry Mock said: “Adversity sometimes creates opportunity. This venture creates a stronger, more economically-viable company that is addressing the societal reality of having a dispersed workforce that is becoming more apparent by the day. In a strange way, the current coronavirus threat became the impetus needed to make this combination happen.”
