MINISO, a Chinese lifestyle product retailer, has opened a new store in Madrid, Spain, located in the heart of the Salamanca district.
The store opening marked the 100th for the variety store company after raising $680 million in October 2020 in a US initial public offering (IPO) in New York.
In Spain, MINISO has so far opened four new stores this month. The Chinese lifestyle product retailer, which has 16 stores in Spain to date, intends to open more stores across the world before the end of the year.
Vincent Huang – MINISO International Business Vice President said: “We aim to open even more new stores across Europe in the near future.
“We look forward to welcoming customers in London, Hungary, Iceland and Italy soon, pending the course of the pandemic.”
MINISO stocks its stores with household goods, cosmetics, and food at low prices. After opening its first store in Guangzhou, China in 2013, MINISO has opened 4,200 plus stores in more than 80 countries and regions in seven years.
