Chesapeake Utilities completes acquisition natural gas supplier Elkton Gas

Chesapeake Utilities, a US natural gas distribution and transmission company, has wrapped up its previously announced acquisition of Elkton Gas from energy services holding company South Jersey Industries for an undisclosed price.

The deal, which was announced in December 2019, has been completed following the fulfillment of all closing conditions.

The company, which is now a fully-owned subsidiary of Chesapeake Utilities, will continue to operate from its existing office with the same employees.
