CATL launches world’s first new energy experience centre in Chengdu to transform EV engagement

Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) has launched NING Space, the world’s pioneering new energy experience centre, in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. This cutting-edge facility, the result of a collaboration between various car manufacturers and local authorities, aims to transform consumer interactions with electric vehicles (EVs) through a comprehensive “view, select, use, and learn” experience. The initiative represents a significant step forward in accelerating the global transition to e-mobility.

At the opening ceremony, Li Ping, Vice Chairman of CATL, highlighted the profound changes occurring in the automotive industry and consumer attitudes amidst global energy transformations. Li emphasised that CATL, in partnership with car manufacturers, has established a new platform to bridge the gap between automakers and consumers, promoting innovation and mutual success.

Luo Jian, General Manager of CATL’s Marketing Department, described the space’s unique features of “completeness” and “innovation.” He noted that the centre aims to help automakers showcase their vehicles effectively, support consumers in choosing the right car, and advocate for a low-carbon lifestyle.

Spanning 13,000 square metres, NING Space is home to nearly 100 models from around 50 different car brands, effectively creating a perpetual auto show. This extensive collection ensures that consumers have access to a broad range of the most popular vehicle models. The centre includes various areas where EV experts provide personalised recommendations based on individual needs, budgets, and uses. Additionally, visitors can learn about the history and development of electric vehicles and explore the latest advancements in battery technology.

The opening also marked the debut of CATL’s after-sales service brand, NING SERVICE. With a network of 112 professional service stations and a comprehensive training system, NING SERVICE offers high-standard services such as battery maintenance, health checks, and mobile rescue, ensuring a seamless experience for electric vehicle users.

To enhance user convenience further, CATL launched a WeChat mini-program designed specifically for EV users. This digital tool facilitates the search for charging stations, provides selection assistance, and offers tips for EV usage. It also features science workshops focused on new energy, delivering efficient, high-quality, and multifaceted services.
