Enel Green Power Chile, a subsidiary of Enel Chile, has begun the commercial operations of its 382MW Campos del Sol solar power plant in Chile.

The move follows the official authorization from the National Electricity Coordinator.

The Campos del Sol photovoltaic power plant is situated 60km northeast of Copiapó, Atacama Region.

The solar power plant in Chile features nearly one million bifacial monocrystalline photovoltaic panels that maximize generation of power by arresting solar radiation from both sides of the panel, producing on average 12% more green energy than conventional modules.
