Firstsource Solutions, an India-based provider of business process management (BPM) services, said that it will invest in the UK to generate close to 1,000 new jobs during the next 12 months.
The jobs will be created by the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group company in South Wales, the Midlands, as well as cities in the Northern Powerhouse.
The announcement from Firstsource Solutions comes amid UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s ongoing visit to India.
Boris Johnson said: “Trade and investment between the UK and India is creating good jobs and sustaining livelihoods in both of our countries. I’m very pleased that Firstsource has decided to join the legions of Indian companies investing in the UK, boosting our technology sector and driving economic growth.”
Firstsource Solutions has been operating in the UK since 2006. The BPM services provider is said to have more than 5,000 employees across six regional sites in the UK.
The company caters to British firms across retail banking, media, insurance, telecom, life sciences, and utilities.
