BMC to acquire ITSM adoption solutions provider Alderstone

BMC, an IT solutions provider for the autonomous digital enterprise, has agreed to acquire Alderstone, a provider of IT service management (ITSM) adoption and modernization solutions.

The transaction, which is anticipated to be wrapped up in the coming months, is subject to meeting of customary closing conditions.

Financial terms of the deal have not been revealed.

The deal will be expanding upon the years-long partnership of the companies. Courtesy of the deal, BMC and Alderstone will be able to provide powerful migration tools and services to help customers to modernize their service management quickly and efficiently with the BMC Helix solution.

Furthermore, customers can take advantage of the latest innovations and features with lesser risk, limited disruption, and lower cost, reduced time, and effort.  This is expected to give customers new ways to make use of AI with automation and data-driven decision-making in the evolution of their organizations to become an autonomous digital enterprise.

Alderstone’s solutions are said to strive to offer a comprehensive, seamless, and error-free way to onboard customers onto BMC Helix – from application discovery, to preconfigured migration packs and data mapping, all tuned for maximizing IT performance.

Moving from other ITSM solutions or Remedy on-premise, the two firms offer expert technology consulting services that make use of industry best practices to enable customers in decreasing risk, reduce costs, and achieve their ROI goals.
