BLS International subsidiary Starfin wins contract from Bank of Baroda

BLS International said that its subsidiary — has bagged a contract from for supporting the financial inclusion mission of the Indian government.

As per the terms of the contract, Starfin will be the official national business correspondent (BC) for providing last mile banking services in rural and urban regions in India.

With immediate effect, Starfin India will begin basic banking services such as customers enrolment, debit cards, statement of accounts, balance enquiry, passbook printing, deposit of money, and payment services for bills/utilities to account holders across India.

Starfin India is already empanelled as the national business correspondent for State Bank of India, Microfinance Agency for Punjab National Bank, and Corporate Business Correspondent for Uttarakhand Gramin Bank.

BLS International is a New Delhi-based tech-enabled services partner for governments and citizens. Earlier this month, the company forged a partnership with UTI Infrastructure Technology and Services Limited (UTIITSL) for supporting e-card printing services under an Indian government scheme.
