US retail store chain Blain’s Farm & Fleet announced plans to open its fifth store in Michigan to be located in the Standale Shopping District in the City of Walker.
The Walker store is scheduled to open doors for the public in Fall 2020. The new store announcement follows the opening of a new store in Holland in Michigan earlier this month.
Blain’s Farm & Fleet said that by opening the Walker store, it will be able to better serve the Grand Rapids region. The new retail store in Walker will Blain’s Farm & Fleet locations to 43 located in the states of Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, and Iowa.

The Walker store will be built on similar lines as the Holland and Traverse City locations. Blain’s Farm & Fleet plans to build a 106,000 square foot store with an automotive service center and a full drive thru area which will enable customers to make their purchases without having to leave their vehicle.
The US retail store chain expects to break ground on the Walker store early next year.
The Blain’s Farm & Fleet Walker store will generate nearly 100 new jobs to the community. The new retail jobs in Walker will consist of a mix of full-time and part-time roles such as store managers, department product experts, cashiers, small engine repair, auto service technicians, and managers.
