BHEL wins contract for Talcher Thermal Power Project Stage 3 from NTPC
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) said that it has bagged an order from NTPC Ltd for 1.32GW Stage 3 of the Talcher Thermal Power Project in Odisha.
Under the engineering, procurement, and construction contract, BHEL will be responsible for setting up two power-generating units of 660MW capacity each.
The Talcher Thermal Power Project was having a capacity of 460MW from two stages of development. In the first stage, four units of 60MW each were installed and in the second stage, two units of 110MW each were added.
All six units of the coal-fired power plant located in Talcher, Angul district are retired.
