Bharat Forge, Paramount to manufacture Kalyani M4 armoured vehicles in India
Bharat Forge has entered into a partnership with Paramount Group for manufacturing the Kalyani M4 armoured vehicles in India.
In this regard, the Indian engineering and technology conglomerate and the South African aerospace company will combine the technologies, capabilities, and expertise.
The parties had signed an agreement during the International Defence Expo (IDEX 2021) hosted in Abu Dhabi.
According to Bharat Forge, the Kalyani M4 is a multi-role platform, which can address the specific needs of armed forces for quick mobility in rough terrain and in areas impacted by mine and IED threats.

Kalyani M4 is said to provide best in-class levels of ballistic and blast protection, of up to 50kg TNT side blast or IED/roadside bombs owing to its innovative design, built on a flat-floor monocoque hull.
In the very near future, Bharat Forge expects the Kalyani M4 armoured vehicles to be used by the Indian Armed Forces.
The company revealed that Kalyani M4 had successfully finished a series of extreme vehicle trials in some toughest terrains in India.
