B&G Foods acquires Massachusetts-based french fries manufacturer Farmwise

B&G Foods, a New Jersey-based frozen foods manufacturer, has acquired french fries manufacturer Farmwise for an undisclosed price.

Farmwise, which is based in Wellesley, Massachusetts, is the owner of the Veggie Fries, Veggie Tots, and Veggie Rings brands. Its french fries brands, which are vegan, Non-GMO Project verified and free of the top eight allergens are sold in supermarkets across the US.

Commenting on B&G Foods acquisition of Farmwise, Jordan Greenberg – Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of B&G Foods, said: “We are excited to increase our great tasting, plant-based product offerings with the acquisition of Farmwise.

“Dave and Cristina Peters, the founders of Farmwise, have done a tremendous job developing delicious, plant-based products, including Veggie Fries, Veggie Tots and Veggie Rings, that both parents and children love.

B&G Foods acquisition of Farmwise has been funded with cash on hand by the former.
