BEML, Delhi Metro Rail led SPV sign MoU for Bahrain Metro Rail Project
BEML Limited (formerly Bharat Earth Movers Limited), a manufacturer of metro rolling stock in India, has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) led by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), which was shortlisted to build the Bahrain Metro Rail Project phase-1.
In the context of the MoU, the Indian government-owned BEML will be in charge of manufacturing and supplying metro rolling stock. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation will offer assistance in the areas of planning and development of the project, budgeting and facilitation of contract obligations.

The MoU will enable BEML to make use of its expertise in manufacturing capabilities and technologies to streamline business operations for urban transportation metro rolling stock and expand globally.
