Atlas Copco buys US-based compressor distributor Compressed Air Products

Swedish industrial company Atlas Copco said that it has purchased the operating assets of Compressed Air Products, Inc. (CAP), a compressor distributor based in Georgia, US, for an undisclosed price.

Compressed Air Products is said to sell compressor distributors to a variety of industrial customer segments. The company also has a service business.

According to Atlas Copco, the acquired business will become part of its service division under the compressor technique business area.

Vagner Rego — Atlas Copco compressor technique business area president said: “CAP has a strong reputation in the Georgia market. We have a long relationship with CAP as a distributor.

“This acquisition is in line with our strategy to get closer to our customers.”
