Ashok Leyland secures order for 1,282 BS VI diesel buses from GSRTC

Ashok Leyland, India’s foremost commercial vehicle manufacturer and a flagship company of the Hinduja Group, proudly announces a colossal achievement—securing an order for 1,282 fully built buses from the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC). This monumental order, hailed as one of the largest from a State Transport Undertaking for a single OEM, is poised to reinforce Ashok Leyland’s unassailable position in the Indian bus market.

As part of the agreement, Ashok Leyland will meticulously deliver 55-seater fully assembled BS VI diesel buses in a phased manner. These buses are meticulously designed to offer passengers exceptional comfort, featuring the cutting-edge iGen6 BS VI technology. This includes a robust 147 kW (197 hp) H-series engine, promising heightened safety, superior comfort, and reduced total cost of ownership (TCO).
